About The Youth Fishing League

Mission Statement

The Youth Fishing League brings families together, fosters a love for the outdoors, and teaches important values through the timeless activity of fishing. We create spaces for family connection, teach timeless values through fishing, and build multi-generational bonds.

Geographic Service Area

We serve families throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with primary focus on Maryland communities including Prince George's County, Montgomery County, and surrounding areas.

Target Population

Our programs serve multi-generational families, with particular emphasis on:

  • Youth ages 5-18
  • Families seeking outdoor recreation opportunities
  • Communities with limited access to fishing resources
  • Multi-generational families seeking bonding activities

What We Do

Family Fishing Events

Free, family-friendly fishing events providing equipment, instruction, and support for all skill levels. Events include fishing, environmental education, and community building activities.
